We are in search of a talented and experienced Freelance Data Engineer to join our dynamic team in Metro Manila. In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing our data processes, as well as developing and maintaining our data infrastructure.
Location: Manila, Philippines
Earnings: 40,000 PHP per month (Freelancer Contract)
Description: As a Data Engineer, you will work closely with our data scientists and analysts to ensure seamless data integration, storage, and retrieval.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and develop strategies for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
- Design, develop, and implement robust data pipelines and workflows to ensure accurate and timely data integration and processing.
- Perform web scraping tasks using Python, leveraging tools such as Beautiful Soup, to extract structured data from websites.
- Manage and optimize proxy usage to ensure uninterrupted data gathering and to bypass website restrictions.
- Cleanse and normalize data to ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to quality standards.
- Troubleshoot data pipeline and ETL issues, promptly resolving any data-related problems.
Qualifications:
- A strong background in web scraping
- Experience with managing proxies
- Well-versed in Python and templating.
- Experience with the Beautiful Soup library would be highly beneficial.
